The ingredient list for apricot salmon is as simple as it gets. Here’s what you’ll need:

Salmon: This recipe uses six pieces of salmon that are around 3.5 ounces each. Salmon is an incredible high-protein source that also boasts EPA and DHA omega-3s that are good for your brain.

Apricot jam: You’ll need one 10-ounce jar of apricot jam for this apricot salmon recipe, which you should be able to find at most grocery stores. It’s literally the secret sauce that makes this recipe so delicious!

You can make this dish even more nutritious by serving it with some veggies or a side salad.

Step-by-step instructions

Start by preheating the oven to 450° Fahrenheit.

Next, spray a nonstick sheet pan with spray oil. Place the salmon pieces on the pan, and top salmon with jam—about 2 ½ Tablespoons per piece.

Roast the salmon for 12 minutes. Turn the oven to broil and broil for an additional 5 minutes until the jam begins to caramelize.
