Here’s a handful of ingredients you’ll need:

Banana: You can use a ripe or overripe banana for this banana coffee milkshake. A brown banana has more sugar and also makes this drink sweet enough so you don’t have to add in any sugar.

Coffee: Use freshly brewed coffee for milkshake. Then for the finishing touch, sprinkle it with instant coffee.

Almond milk: I like to use almond milk for some added protein. You can also use soy or oat milk.

Vanilla extract: A good quality vanilla extract adds a tasty vanilla taste without any added sugar.

Maple syrup: I like to use maple syrup because it has a leg up on many other added sugars—it offers 60-plus health-helping polyphenols, blood-sugar-helping mineral manganese, and the B vitamin riboflavin.

Then blend it until the mixture is smooth and lump free.

Pro tip: If you have a high-speed blender, you can skip slicing your banana. If your blender is not as powerful, I suggest placing the sliced banana in first, followed by the other ingredients.
