Indeed, I stayed up till 3am or so multiple nights in a row after my fiance’s sweet proposal! Even though we ultimately decided to have an overseas wedding, I thought it would be such a waste to let all the info I gathered sit in my e-mail inbox for eternity.

That’s why I’ve decided to share my list of low-budget wedding venues in Pennsylvania with you! Here, you’ll find a whole bunch of sorta cheap wedding venues in Pennsylvania.
If you’re a New Jersey gal like me, you might know that getting married in Pennsylvania is a way to cut costs and have a more affordable wedding. From where I live in northern Jersey, Philadelphia is only about an hour away.
How to choose a low-budget venue option
So with that, I’ll leave you to peruse these 15 options for sorta cheap wedding reception venues in Pennsylvania that are sure to fit your wedding budget. Some even include a wedding planner. You’ll see that a lot of the ideas are of the farmhouse wedding venue variety.
But don’t worry! I also have alternative wedding venues for you, including a castle venue, a resort wedding venue or two, and many more options for private wedding venues. Any of these venues will look amazing as a backdrop for your wedding dress on your big day.

1. The Farm at Eagles Ridge (Lancaster, PA)
The property includes 200-year-old trees, two ponds, and views of scenic farmland. The farm sits on 150 acres of land, making for a quiet getaway and a beautiful cocktail hour in the countryside. You’ll get your choice of seven exclusive caterers for your wedding day.
Price: $6,750-$10,500
2. Bell Gate Farm (Coopersburg, PA)
This farm has a history that spans centuries: It was built in 1780 and was originally owned by one of the area’s first settlers. It sits on 268 acres, and a good number of those acres are still farmed.
The venue includes a main house and barn. Package prices are for 100 people minimum and include some furniture; food is priced a la carte.
Price: $8,775-$14,000; two-course plated dinner begins at $49/person; $24-34/person (alcohol)
3. The Barn at Fornesville (Furlong, PA)
Erected in the 1860s, this rustic barn was built by an Amish family. The venue features a rustic ambience for the wedding of your dreams and is surrounded by horse paddocks, as well as a coy pond.
The barn can seat 150 guests, and there’s a gas fire pit on the property. Chair and table rentals are additional, and a bridal party prep tent is available for an additional fee.
Price: $3,900 (up to 150 guests), $4,500 (150+)

4. Ironstone Ranch at Stone Gables Estate (Middletown, PA)
Here’s a top option when you’re considering rustic barn wedding venues! Imagine your wedding at an 1860s barn on a 100-acre farm. The climate-controlled site can accommodate up to 180 guests. Pricing doesn’t include tax.
Price: $4,900-$6,900
5. The Star Barn Village at Stone Gables Estate (Middletown, PA)
The village spans over about 30 acres. This wedding site offers a gazebo that overlooks Liberty Lake. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests. Pricing doesn’t include tax.
Price: $8,990-$14,990 (rental fee), $79-$99/person (catering)
6. St. Michael’s Vineyard at Stone Gables Estate (Middletown, PA)
At the vineyard, you’ll have a tent that can accommodate up to 125 guests. The site is available May through October. Pricing doesn’t include tax.
Price: $4,900-$6,500

7. Ash Mill Farm (Holicong, PA)
This 11-acre venue can fit up to 240 guests, so this is definitely not the venue for a small wedding! It’s a seven-bedroom bed and breakfast, as well as an active sheep farm, so you can have your wedding party and close friends stay at the farm with you.
The barn dates back to the 1790s! When you book a wedding at this venue, you’ll have exclusive use of the property from 2pm on Friday through noon on Sunday. You must rent all of the bedrooms.
Tent rental is required for 50 guests or more; it includes five hours of event time, chairs, tables, a dance floor, and a bar. Pricing doesn’t include tax.
Price: $4,000 (rental fee), $25/person (tent fee), $2,790 (bedrooms), $104+/person (catering and beverage)
8. Bear Mill Estate (Denver, PA)
When looking at wedding venues in Pennsylvania, it’s hard to get more historic than this estate. This grist-mill property dates back to the 1700s. The venue provides you with on-site floral design and a list of preferred vendors.
Pricing includes a bridal coordinator, tables, chairs, parking, a fire pit, and pre-ceremony light fare for the bride and groom.
Price: $8,500
9. The Barn at Fallingwater (Mill Run, PA)
Have your wedding ceremony at a restored 19th-century barn! This beautiful venue is located near the entrance to Bear Run Nature Reserve. You can choose from two private event spaces, as well as two outdoor ceremony spaces.
One of the event spaces is a restored hay storage room! The venue can accommodate up to 150 guests; and round tables, banquet tables, and wooden folding chairs are provided as part of each six-hour rental package.
You can purchase and serve your own alcohol.
Price: $2,000-$5,000 (rental fee)
Estate Wedding Venues
10. Cairnwood Estate (Bryn Athyn, PA)
This historic French chateau looks like a castle. It can host up to 230 guests and is one of the top Pennsylvania wedding venues. The chateau was originally created as a home for a 19th-century industrialist.
Plus, it’s a top option for a Philadelphia wedding, as the estate is only about a 45-minute drive from the city. Note that ceremonies may not take place on the property. The site fee includes a 5-hour reception and 3 additional hours for photography and dressing time.
Price: $1,800-$8,800 (rental fee), $105+/person (food)
11. HollyHedge Estate (New Hope, PA)
This beautiful 18th-century farm and estate is located in historic Bucks County and is a fab option for a wedding in Pennsylvania.
The rates for this estate are a bit higher than some of the other options in this post, and that’s in part due to the estate’s commitment to farm-to-table food and local food.
Rates include a five-hour, exclusive rental. Per-person charges include a three-course sit-down dinner, five hours of premium open bar, full-service staff, and valet parking.
Price: $165-$190/person

Out-of-the-box venues, including a castle venue
12. Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle (Doylestown, PA)
Go ahead and have your wedding at a castle! This venue was built in the early 1900s and features 44 rooms. And if you’re looking to save money for your special event, this venue is really a find.
It accommodates up to 120 guests, and your guests will have two hours to visit the Mercer Museum. The site fee includes a five-hour reception. Tax, staffing, and a service fee are additional.
Price: $1,500-$6,000 (reception), $140+/person (food)
13. Camp Starlight (Starlight, PA)
Want a summer camp wedding experience for your special event? On site, the venue features a rec hall, a farmhouse, an amphitheater, and a canteen. You can swim, fish, or play tennis, basketball, soccer, baseball, sand volleyball, or flag football.
You’ll also have access to a golf range and hiking trails, and you can enjoy camp fires and cooking competitions.
As for budget, this is a top option for cheap outdoor wedding venues, especially once you take into account that guests can pay you back for lodging.
This is a fun option if you have lots of family members that you want to include in your special day!
Cabins can sleep up to 12 people, and the site accommodates anywhere from 150 to 800 people. The farmhouse is available for use in April, June, August, and November. Children 2 years and young are free, and service charges and tax are not included in pricing.
Price: $150/person

Resort and spa venue options
14. French Manor Inn and Spa (Newfoundland, PA)
This mountaintop chateau is located in the Pocono Mountains and houses an indoor salt-water pool, hot tub, and steam sauna. So you could say it’s one of the top Poconos wedding venues!
The venue can accommodate up to 180 guests. Water, tea, and coffee are delivered to the bridal suite complimentary. Service fees and tax are additional.
Price: $1,500-$3,400 (rental fee), $75-$99/person (catering), $9.50-$14/person/hour (alcohol)
15. The Woodlands Resort (Wilkes Barre, PA)
Another option for Poconos wedding venues, this hotel offers an on-site spa and jacuzzi for pre-wedding pampering.
Plus, the venue sits just minutes from the Mohegan Sun Pocono casino. The venue offers a reasonable price tag, as well as a bridal suite or no cost when weddings have at least 100 guests. Tax and gratuity are additional.
Price: $79-$120+/person (catering), $29-$36.50/person (alcohol)
