Here’s a list of the best wedding venues in NYC and the rest of New York state, including affordable wedding venues in NYC.

man and woman holding each other, kissing and getting married

If you’re getting married in New York, you probably want to know about the best New York venues, including out-of-the box ideas. And what about inexpensive wedding locations in New York City and New York state?

After my now husband’s sweet proposal, I went crazy into research mode. I stayed up past midnight many, many nights and I compiled information on hundreds of wedding venues.

Read on for lots of options for affordable weddings in New York and cheap places to get married in New York City.

Planning a New York wedding

While Lawrence and I ended up deciding not to have our wedding in New York (for that matter, we also decided not to have a wedding in Pennsylvania!) and to instead have an overseas wedding, I thought it would be a shame to waste all the venue research I’d done.

But alas, because of the pandemic, we ended up getting married in New Jersey.

And I know how difficult it was to find information, especially what venues cost, and I want to help all of you bride-to-bes as much as possible!

So that’s why I compiled this list of the best wedding venues in NYC and New York state, including many options for a NYC wedding on a budget.

You’ll find many an option for cheap wedding venues in NYC, as well as small wedding venues in New York–for anywhere from a country club to the Finger Lakes.

You’ll also find intimate wedding options for New York City, Hudson Valley, Long Island, and beyond!

Whether you have a big or small New York wedding budget, you’ll find an option here to suit your needs for your unique wedding.

There are even options with exposed brick, as well as floor to ceiling historical walls, plus indoor and outdoor options with views of the Statue of Liberty.

Then, choose your wedding officiants, and head over to the marriage bureau for a wedding license and a credit card or money order to complete the application! You can skip the county clerk’s office with this list!

Having a New York wedding theme? Seeking NYC wedding venues, a New York City wedding reception or New York wedding venues?

If you’re getting married in New York and have any additional ideas for Manhattan wedding venues (or interesting or cheap places to have a wedding anywhere in New York), I’d love for you to add your ideas to the comments below.

Note that I received these price quotes early this year. Some venues change pricing based on the season and/or year. Now, onto that list of New York venues I promised you, including several affordable wedding venues in NYC.
