Homemade Pistachio Milk Recipe

Pistachio milk is delicious but almost impossible to find in the supermarket.
Enter the homemade version, ready in minutes with just two ingredients! I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer a cup of pistachio dairy-free milk to hot chocolate any day.
Plus, making pistachio milk is much quicker than making almond milk.

To make this pistachio milk recipe, you only need two ingredients:
Pistachios: The best part about drinking pistachio milk? It’s made from pistachios, one of my favorite nuts.
As for pistachio milk nutrition, you get healthy fats, fiber, and protein—all of which help to keep you satiated. And they’re delicious. Because the milk is so fresh, it picks up a lot of that nutty flavor.
Vanilla extract: While optional, this ingredient adds natural sweetness to the pistachio milk recipe.

Step-by-step instructions
Read on for instructions on how to make this pistachio milk recipe.
First, blend pistachios and water, adding vanilla extract if desired. Note that this recipe uses a blender, but you can easily use a food processor instead.
Place a cheesecloth over a large jar; slowly sift the liquid through the cheesecloth. You may have to rinse the cheesecloth out a few times.
Cool milk in a sealed container in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
Once I mastered making this pistachio milk, I kicked myself for not doing it sooner, because it’s just so easy. It took just a few minutes to whip up a delicious batch.
You don’t need a nut milk bar or anything, not even any hot water. You only need one or two layers of cheesecloth or fine mesh.
Go ahead and pour yourself a glass and pair it with a tasty baked good.
