Love the idea of DIY gifts for yourself and your loved ones? This homemade pizza seasoning recipe takes just minutes to make yet is super thoughtful!
It’s finally that wonderful time of year when we can begin thinking about what to gift our loved ones for the holidays. I love the idea of homemade gifts, and they’ll be especially thoughtful this year when we can’t see all our loved ones in person.
How to Make This Pizza Seasoning Recipe
A couple of years ago, I discovered one of the best, easiest DIY gifts out there: homemade pizza seasoning. This actually happened because a reporter asked me how to make a homemade pizza spice mix. So of course, I took out all my Italian dried spices and got blending.
That’s how I figured out the ultimate combo of ingredients:
- 2 Tablespoons dried oregano
- 1 Tablespoon dried basil
- 1 Tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon dried onion flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
This homemade mix fits into a cute little spice jar. But of course you can double, triple, or quadruple the recipe for a larger jar. I like to tie the jar with curled ribbon, and you can even add a cute chalkboard label.
Make a Complete, Thoughtful Gift
Of course, homemade pizza seasoning on its own is a wonderful thoughtful gift. But you can also take the present a step further and pair it with a few themed items for a larger gift.
