Love pizza but want to eat healthy? Enjoy making homemade pizza? The solution: bean pizza. This one has a base of naan bread.

Naan bread pizza recipes are so easy—just finish with your favorite pizza toppings, like tomatoes cheese! You’ll love this vegetarian naan pizza.

You get a good amount of protein from this pizza to help keep you fuller for longer. Each serving of this naan white pizza recipe offers 16 grams of protein, an excellent amount.

This is due to the white beans that I used as a base and a topping, as well as the mandatory mozzarella!

Ingredients

I think you’ll love this white bean pizza recipe. You’ll notice that this meal doesn’t have any tomato sauce, and that’s because it’s a white pizza!

To make this white bean pizza, you’ll need a few ingredients:

White kidney beans: As a pescatarian (and former vegetarian), I’m often frustrated by dishes that don’t supply enough protein to power me through my day…or even my afternoon or evening. You get satiating protein from the white beans.

Naan bead: I used packaged naan to make this recipe super easy. You could make the recipe even healthier by using whole-grain naan. If you’re gluten free, you can try swapping out the naan for gluten-free pita bread.

Mozzarella and Parmesan: These cheeses add additional protein to this white bean pizza. If you’re vegan, you can swap out for vegan cheese.

Planning a pizza night in? This delicious tomato naan bread white pizza recipe is a fun take on pizza provides a balanced meal. Dig in right now.

Additional topping ideas

Now, let’s chat about toppings for naan pizza. When thinking of good pizza toppings, contemplate more than taste.

I chose white beans and mozzarella because they provide satiating vegetarian protein. And the tomatoes provide fiber and nutrients.

Here are additional ideas for naan bread toppings:

  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil
  • Black beans (a black bean pizza is also delish!)
  • Pureed beans (use a food processor)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • A squeeze of lemon juice

Step-by-step instructions

I love meals that are easy and quick to make. That’s why I decided to make a vegetarian white bean pizza that’s also a nutritious meal.

Here’s how to make this white bean pizza:

First, preheat the oven to 400° Fahrenheit .

In a bowl, combine beans, olive oil, and garlic. Reserve a third of the mixture; set aside. Mash remaining mixture with a fork and spread on top of naan.

Top with mozzarella, tomato slices, and remainder of bean mixture. Add red pepper flakes, Parmesan, and sage. Bake 12-15 minutes.

When you put the pizza in the oven, you’ll get the crispiest taste with a pizza stone. But you can also use baking sheets. Then just bake the pizza for about 15 minutes, and the super quick meal is ready to eat!

I hope you enjoy this white bean pizza. It makes a great lunch or dinner! The best part? You don’t need any pizza sauce, and you can make the naan pizza in under 20 minutes!
